Data Distribution Peer

In a Sprinkler data distribution schema, the actors involved are called **Peers**.\\ A Peer (identifyed by the GUID **Peer ID**) correspond to a specific Company into a Dynamics 365 Business Central database.\\ It follows that the data distribution can take place between Companies on the same database, or even from Companies of different databases. A **Source Peer** is the Peer sending data, where the transaction is made by a user and it is detected by Sprinkler and sent to a Target Peer;\\ A **Target Peer** is the Peer receiving data, where an incoming transaction from a Source Peer must be replicated.\\ It is possible anyway that a Peer can "exchange data" with himself: it is called **Self Peer**. This configuration helps to decouple an operation, for example for log creation or for historical data archiving. A licence identifies a list of 10 available Peer ID, please contact eeRis sagl at url www.eeris.net to increase this number if necessary.\\ Please note that it is possible to exchange data also with Peers not included in your license (for example with a Vendor or a Customer using Sprinkler, or with a Microsoft Partner): they have only to be correctly identified with their Peer ID and to be reached via Web Service SOAP call. The Peer list is available at page [**Data Distribution Setup**], menu [**Setup**] -> [**Peer's Setup**]. | | For every Peer are defined:\\ * Peer Setup, information for access, editable into the Peer Card * Export Setup, at menu [**Peer Export Setup**] * Import Setup, at menu [**Peer Import Setup**]
