You can access Sprinkler Data Distribution Setup in [Data Distribution Setup]: in this page you can enable, disable, and configure the Sprinkler Data Distribution system.
Data Distribution Activated – This flag indicates whether the outgoing Data Distribution system is active or not; it is controlled via the actions [Outbound Data] → [Start Export] and [Stop Export]; when the flag is on, the data changes made by users are sent to the remote system, while all changes made when the flag is turned off will not be detected nor sent.
Inbound Flow Activated – This flag indicates whether the incoming Data Distribution system is active or not; it is controlled via the actions [Inbound Data] → [Start Import] and [Stop Import]; when the flag is on, the service is enabled to hanlde the data incoming from Remote Peers. All received data while the flag is off will not be discarded but enqueued for a subsequent activation.
Data Distribution Service User – This is the user account that executes all specific Sprinkler activities. Please check the page Data Distribution Service User for important information. It is mandatory that this User will not be used for normal Busines Central activities, because all modifications made by this User will not be detected by Sprinkler engine to avoid recursive changes.
Local Peer ID – this is the Peer unique identification. This GUID is used into data distribution flow design (to identify the Target Peer for outgoing data, or the Source Peer of incoming data).
Last DT modified – the last Setup modification datetime, both for incoming and outgoing data flows.
Peer Secret per Obfuscation – this string is used by the specific algorithm, please see the page Obfuscation for details. This string should not be modified after the first setup, for not to lose the matching of identical obfuscated data on Target Peers.
